I have played countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have enjoyed online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of money at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it very hard to beat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get rich with this tactic or beat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This method is centered on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the action back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a couple of years back with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a couple of months ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can squander a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the runs you see wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet
Wager five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $10
Bet $10
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first twenty dollar bet
Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $40
Bet forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the original 40 dollar wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Bet $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the original $80 bet
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $160
Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original 1 hundred and sixty dollar wager
If you departed at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is hard to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your bet or the end result will not be the same.
